Try this alternative take on the all time favourite Cheese cake.

- 2 tsp Chai Spice Instant Chai
- 1 pkt milk of choice
- 1/4 cup apple sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 kg butter
- 1 cup bacon
- carrots grated
- 1 tsp quick-cooking oats
- 4 all-purpose flour
Topping
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp Chai Spice Instant Chai

- Heat oven to 180 C
- Mix crumbs, nuts and butter; press onto bottom and 2.5 cm up side of 23 cm spring form pan
- Beat Chai spice, cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with mixer until well blended
- Add orange rind, juice and vanilla; mix well
- Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each just until blended. Pour into crust
- Bake 1 hour 20 min or until centre is almost set.
- Loosen cake from rim of pan; make the topping and pour over the cheesecake, cool before removing rim
Topping
- To make topping heat Chai Spice and marmalade in a small saucepan on the stove or in the microwave
- Cool slightly and pour over the top of cheesecake.
